Kaiako | Teacher
Curriculum Lead
I have over 20 years’ experience working in the education sector. I am primary-trained and have worked across a range of schools, giving me a broad perspective on teaching and learning.
At Christchurch North College, I lead curriculum initiatives and support students through NECA and Gateway programmes, helping them gain practical skills and prepare for future pathways.

Kaiako | Teacher
I was born and raised in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and began teaching in 2017. I have experience in both mainstream schools and therapeutic settings in New Zealand and the UK.
At Christchurch North College, I teach Years 7 and 8 in literacy, arts, drama, and PE. I aim to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students feel confident, valued, and ready to learn.

Kaiawhina | Learning Assistant
I have worked over the past three years in intermediate schools, supporting vulnerable children and focusing on building resilience through outdoor education and experiences that strengthen mana.
At CNC, I work as the Attendance Officer and provide teaching support. I also lead kapa haka, waiata, and other cultural programmes, helping students build confidence, connection, and pride in their identity.

Kaiwhakahaere | Administrator
I have worked for the past six years in tertiary education, supporting students in pastoral care. At CNC, I am often the welcoming face of the school. I manage administration and financial operations, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the college.
I also provide a safe space for students when things feel overwhelming and work closely with them to ensure they feel settled, supported, and confident in their learning environment.

Kaiwhakaora | Therapist
I am a qualified Therapist and registered Art Therapist with a Master’s in Art Therapy. I use approaches such as CBT, EMDR, Art Therapy, and Theraplay to support student wellbeing.
At CNC, I work with students and whānau to build resilience, confidence, and engagement in learning. I provide individual, group, and caregiver-child sessions and help ensure every student feels supported and capable.

Kaiako | Learning Support Coordinator
I am a trained primary school teacher with 23 years experience teaching from Year 0-13 in a range of educational institutions in NZ, Australia and London. I also hold a qualification in Teaching Students with a Specific Learning Difficulty which has been my area of interest and passion over the last 10 years. Most recently, I have been a health school teacher so I come with an understanding of some of the barriers children face when learning.
